Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cassandra Studios EOOD ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Formo apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac (the "App").

We built Formo to be private by design. The App has no accounts, no servers of our own, and never uploads your files anywhere. Every conversion runs locally on your device.

Summary

🔒 Your files never leave your device through us. Photos, videos, audio, and PDFs are converted entirely on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
☁️ We have no backend. We don't operate servers that receive, store, or process your files.
🚫 We don't track you. No analytics, no advertising, no cross-app tracking SDKs.
💳 The only personal data involved is what Apple needs to process an optional in-app purchase — handled entirely by Apple.

2. What the App does with your data

Formo converts files (photos, videos, audio, and PDFs) from one format to another. All conversion work happens locally on your device. Source files and converted outputs are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Specifically, we do not collect, store, or transmit:

The files you import or export
Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry
Device identifiers, IP addresses, or fingerprints
Your name, email, or any account information

The App does not contact any servers operated by us and contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

3. Data handled by Apple on our behalf

Some features rely on Apple platform services. In those cases the data is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.

a) In-app purchases (StoreKit)

If you buy a subscription or the one-time lifetime unlock, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store. We receive an anonymous receipt confirming your entitlement; we do not see your name, email, billing address, or payment method.

b) iCloud sync (optional)

Formo uses iCloud to sync your free-tier conversion count across your devices, so the monthly free limit is consistent everywhere. This data lives in your own iCloud account; we have no access to it. You can disable iCloud for Formo at any time in Settings.

4. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
We do not access your location.
We do not upload or store your files on any server.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell personal data.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Performance of a contract — to deliver the App and process any in-app purchase.
Legitimate interests — to keep the App secure and reliable.
Consent — for device permissions you grant (Photos/Files access), which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.

6. Third parties

We share information only as needed to run the App:

Apple — provides the App Store, in-app purchase processing, and iCloud. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your files with anyone, because they never leave your device.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The App is safe for all ages — it processes only files you explicitly choose.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. Because we hold almost no personal data about you (your files never reach us), most requests concern purchase data held by Apple. You can contact us at hello@cassandrastudios.com and we will help direct or fulfil your request. For data held by Apple, use privacy.apple.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or the App Store listing.
